What is PerSay?

PerSay is a software design tool that provides a designer with a visually based model for text based entry Screens, Reports and Dictionary editting. Designed for MultiValue database systems, it provides very high functionality and speed of development. PerSay creates 100% BASIC source code that is easily portable to other systems. No run time modules or host software are required, a single Include file is provided for transportability. PerSay is a very efficient system, the programs and demo accounts are easily less that 1 Meg.

The screens and reports that PerSay builds are fast and easy text based style with cursor based entries on entry screens. This means you can use the four arrow cursors along with insert and delete for intuitive entry.

What do I need this for?

There are many fine MultiValue database products available. You install them, you get a great database environment and are then dropped into command line prompt. Now What?

PerSay provides all the design tools a business person or programmer needs to build applications at a very high level. Add PerSay to your MV database for instant business application functionality.

If PerSay is so great, why is it free?

Conventional wisdom says "you get what you pay for". That's not true with software as the Open Source movement has proven with the success of Linux and Apache etc. I needed this tool to do fast, high quality software design. Now that it is designed, I am making this product Open Source to share tools as others have allowed me to do.

If it will make you feel the product is of real value, send a check for $1,500 to Performant Systems, as this was the price when sold commercially.
